Who we are and what SchoolRides does

SchoolRides is a free coordination tool that lets parents in a school circle organise school drop-offs and pickups: sharing a weekly schedule, volunteering to drive, and booking seats for children. A circle is a private group of parents who already know each other, usually from the same school or class. SchoolRides does not provide transport itself, does not employ or contract drivers, and is not a transport or ride-hailing service; every ride is arranged directly between the parents involved.

Accepting these terms

By creating an account or otherwise using SchoolRides, you agree to these terms. You must be an adult to hold an account, and you may only enter information about children you are the parent or guardian of.

Your account

You agree to give accurate information and keep your login credentials safe. Each account is for one person; do not share your login with someone else. If you sign in with Google, that sign-in is also governed by Google's own terms.

Circles and invites

Invite codes are meant to be shared with parents you already know, not posted publicly or shared with strangers. A circle admin may remove a member, rename the circle, or set its weekly schedule, and you may leave a circle you belong to at any time. Deleting a circle removes its ride schedule and activity history for everyone in it.

Rides are between parents

SchoolRides does not vet drivers, vehicles, or insurance. The parent who volunteers to drive is responsible for holding a valid license and insurance, for using appropriate child seats, for not exceeding the seats they offer, and for driving safely. Deciding whom to trust with your child is up to you as a parent. Seat counts, schedules, and car details shown in the app are aids for coordination, not a guarantee of availability or fitness.

Acceptable use

Do not harass other members, post false information about children or rides, scrape or use automated access against the app, or attempt to bypass its access controls.

Children's information

Information about children is entered and controlled by their own parent. Keep notes for drivers to what another driver actually needs to know for the ride.

Availability and changes

SchoolRides is provided as is. It may change, or stop being available, at any time, and we make no promise about uptime.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator of SchoolRides is not liable for damage arising from rides arranged through the app or from your use of the app, except where the damage is caused intentionally or by gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time; see Delete your data. The operator may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

Any change to these terms is posted here with a new “Last updated” date.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, and the courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence says otherwise.
